Alternating blue glass strips were stacked and fused together. The resulting pattern bar was sliced into 1/2-inch squares, which were then fused into a circular blank. This was heated to about 1200 degrees on a raised ring mold, and the rim of the resulting vase was removed with a diamond saw.
